Natick Baseball / Softball League Structure |

|
6 year old Instructional League: |
Made up of boys and girls who are age 6 before April 30th of the current year. |

(T-Ball) |
Players hit a reduced-flight ball off a Tee and play conventional positions in the field. |
|
|
Each session (1 1/2 to 2 hr) consists of skills development drills followed by an instructional game.
Sessions are on weekday evenings twice a week, schedule TBA. |

|
|
7 year old Instructional League: |
Made up of boys and girls who are age 7 before April 30th of the current year. |

(Coach-Pitch) |
Players hit a reduced-flight ball pitched by a coach.
If the player cannot make contact with the ball after a reasonable number of pitches (5-6), he/she is allowed to bat off a Tee.
There are no walks or strikeouts and the full order gets to bat each inning.
The opposing team can make defensive outs. |

Made up of boys and girls aged 9-10-11 before April 30th of the current year, who do not get selected to AAA or LL. Conventional baseball, except no leading or stealing, with a minimum of two (2) sessions a week. |

9-10-11-12 year old AAA League: |
Competitive league, but still instructional, with standings and playoffs. Each team is made up of boys and girls aged 9 (not more than two), 10, 11 and 12 before April 30th of the current year.
Teams are formed by tryout and coach-draft.
With the exception of 12 year olds, all players who are not returning AAA players must tryout to be eligible for AAA, or otherwise will be placed on AA teams.
12 year olds who do not tryout will be placed on AAA teams. |

10-11-12 year old Little League: |
Highly competitive league, with standings and playoffs.
Each team is made up of boys and girls aged 10, 11 and 12 before April 30th of the current year.
9 year olds are not eligible for LL.
Teams are formed by tryout and coach-draft.
All players who are not returning LL players must tryout to be eligible for LL.
The pool of players eligible to be drafted to LL teams is determined by consensus from the tryout evaluation from of ALL the LL coaches.
Players who do not tryout (except 12 year olds) will be placed on AA teams.
12 year olds who don't tryout will be placed on AAA teams. |

No teams.
Sessions (2 per week) are comprised of skills development taught through drills and small scrimmages, with emphasis on solid fundamentals.

9-10-11 year old Instructional Softball: |
Made up of girls age 9-10-11 before January 1st of current year. Conventional softball with a minimum of two (2) sessions a week. Schedule TBA. Girls 11 years old (league age) will be allowed to try out for the senior league (11-12-13-14 years old). |

11-12-13-14 year old Softball (Senior League): |
Made up of girls 11-12-13-14 years old before January 1st of current year. Conventional softball with a minimum of two (2) sessions a week. Schedule TBA. Girls 11 years old (league age) will be allowed to try out for the senior league. |
